Best Examples of Wildwood NJ Website Design
In addition to the most obvious features, there are many little things that make a website design great and effective. Top marks go to beautiful websites that have useful information AND are doing the types of things that make them attractive to Google, while also providing a positive user experience. Through our search, we came across some really great local examples of Wildwood New Jersey websites. Here’s what we found:
-
Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce
The Wildwood Chamber’s website is lighthearted, colorful and informative. The logo is a fun, retro design. This website promotes Wildwood’s local businesses and organizations. This layout makes for easy navigation and provides plenty of information, without overwhelming the visitor. This is very important. In fact, the website represents Wildwood remarkably well.
-
The Alumni Grill
The Alumni Grill website reflects their creative spirit. At a glance, you can see that this Wildwood-based restaurant is applauded around the country. It seems to convincingly portray that there is extraordinary food and a family-friendly atmosphere, making it a favorite of locals and tourists. The Alumni Grill’s website design is effective, and I’ll guess they rank well in Google (though we didn’t check!)
-
Morey’s Piers
The web designer for Morey’s Piers has a lot to promote and this website has accomplished it brilliantly. The website is very well organized and that’s good, because it would be easy to get confused with so much going on. The photos tell the story of a Jersey Shore summer tradition that tends to last through generations, kept up by families who love Wildwood trips.
-
Esplanade Suites
http://www.esplanadesuites.com/
This website does not sizzle, but that’s okay because the content doesn’t gloat. The facts are laid out clearly and concisely in a clean, easy to read format. A few photos with accompanying brief text tell the tale of what I can expect if I choose this hotel for my vacation. It’s a minimalist approach and I think it works very well in this case.
-
Dog Tooth Bar
The website for the Dog Tooth Bar straddles the line of being too “busy” and therefore not a good design. What saves it is the valuable information and interesting visual content. There is a lot going on, but clearly this is a favorite local sports bar and restaurant that’s well known for their good food. Not bad at all.
-
Duffinetti’s Restaurant and Lounge
Duffinetti’s Restaurant website conveys exactly what Duffinetti’s offers patrons. This is a traditional restaurant that’s owned by a local family, where locals love to celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries. The website does an excellent job of promoting the quiet elegance, attentive service and beautifully prepared food. Duffinetti’s website is on the basic side, but it’s an effective design.
-
The Lotus Inn
As the photo gallery rolls across this website, I see exactly what to expect if I stay at this hotel… before I’ve read a single word. The photos make a great impression, so next I want to read the about it. The text convinces me to put the Lotus Inn on my short list of hotels. Job well done by The Lotus Inn. This is the definition of a successful website.
Worst Examples of Wildwood NJ Website Design
Choosing the worst websites in a town like this is painful. As a web designer in the Wildwood area, I’ve seen these types of mistakes over and over that are wreaking havoc on these businesses and killing their SERP ranking. Some of these websites are so terrible that I’m assuming they came free and ready-made with a domain purchase. The mistakes are numerous and easy to avoid if you’re a web designer who know’s what you’re doing.
1. Wildwood Vacation Condo Rental
http://www.beachblockcondo.com
The website is supposed to be promoting vacation rental condos, but I can’t get past the area attractions. That’s not the information the visitor is looking for once they’ve reached this specific site. The text is a grammatical disaster. Generic phrases with stuffed with basic adjectives are placed in run on sentences. It’s not even worth it. The text is so distracting; I won’t bother with the design.
-
Wildwood Convention Center
http://www.wildwoodsnj.com/cc/
The Wildwood Convention Center is a desirable venue, but the website visitor may never find that out. The boring first page is little more than a bullet list of amenities flanked by distracting advertisements such as government surplus sales and contests. Yikes. This website is a disservice to the venue, and this convention center plays an important role in the Wildwood community. They should make their website design more of a priority.
-
Fudge Kitchen
https://fudgekitchens.com/index.php
I opened the website for Fudge Kitchen and was instantly greeted by a pop-up, asking for my information. I clicked out of the pop up to reveal a horrible photo of heart-shaped fudge that was anything but appealing. After that came more photo overlays with links to buy the fudge. This is a pushy design, devoid of helpful information. Not to mention, this business is in dire need of professional photography to make their treats look desirable.
-
Nino’s Family Restaurant
http://www.ninosfamilyrestaurant.net/
I quickly found out that this is a Trip Advisor award-winning restaurant, so the food is probably really good. Now, if the web designer had a photographer that knew how to make food look appetizing, Nino’s Family Restaurant might have a winning site. Unfortunately, this whole design falls flat and doesn’t make me want to get a table.
-
The Crab and Seafood Shack
http://crabandseafoodshack.com/menu.php
Based on The Crab and Seafood Shack’s website, I can tell you where they are located and what their hours are. I can also print out a copy of their menu. If you need to know more than that, you are out of luck at this seafood joint. They could really use some valuable content, like a blog or articles about dining in Wildwood. This is too basic to be worth the time it takes for everything to load.
-
Beach Creek Oyster Bar & Grill
Beach Creek Oyster Bar & Grill is highly rated by patrons in Wildwood, but that’s no thanks to online leads with a website like this! I hope they can survive on word-of-mouth alone, because their website is not helping at all. In fact, this site is such an awful template that it looks like a placeholder for a domain shark, instead of a real website. There is no authenticity here, or anything to make me think that I’m in the right place.

Website Designers in Wildwood New Jersey | |
DotCom Global Media |
DotCom has roughly 20 full-time employees and is a full-service website design and internet marketing agency. They have been in business since 1995. DotCom works with dozens of clients in Somers Point and the surrounding area. Of particular note is their national and international client list working with companies like Nike, Disney, and the New York Yankees just to name a few. They have won numerous awards and have a stellar reputation. In October 2016, the founder was honored to be selected to speak at the #1 rated small business conference in the U.S. (Forbes and Inc. Magazine). This is clearly the top website design company in the entire region. |
Evolve Studios |
Evolve appears to be a small collection of independent contractors and service providers. It appears they’ve been in business for over 10 years and they serve mostly local clients. Their work is solid. |
JSE Design Studio |
JSE has been creating poor to mediocre websites for a painfully long time. Frankly, we are surprised they still make websites. They are mostly known for their Point-Of-Sale systems and other types of technical support -which we understand is much better than their website design. |
