SEO Tips:  Real World Backlink Examples (part 3)

This is part 3 of a 7 part series about how we create high-value backlinks for our SEO clients.  In this series we are looking at an actual real-world example of our SEO / backlink strategy that we are using for a series of clients in the fencing industry.  If you missed parts 1 or 2 of the series, you should start here: Real World Backlink Examples (part 1) or here:  Real World Backlink Examples (part 1)

Create a Base of Quick / Easy Backlinks

I am going to fly in the face of everything “they” tell you about building backlinks.  Quantity does matter.  It may not matter as much as quality, but for most businesses, a few hundred backlinks from sites with average TRUST scores is a huge improvement as compared to what most businesses currently have in place.  Keep in mind, this is only 1 part in a seven step backlink building process … but it is important.  There are many sites out there that will help you to build backlinks.  Most of these some of these sites are quicker and easier to use than others.  Each site has its own inherent strengths and weaknesses and knowing how to use them properly will save you tons of time and energy as you work on your SEO campaign for your website.

A Closer Look at Our SEO Approach

As you may recall, we are following the actual SEO campaign that the DotCom team is using to boost the Google rankings of a network of fence dealers who sell Active Yards vinyl fence and aluminum fence.  As we do that, we are actually building an entirely new SEO base for our company ( DotCom ) as well.  There are several reasons for this that are beyond the scope of this article, but some of the links below will point to profiles and accounts that appear to be more centered around DotCom than they are for this project.

  1. In some cases, it is designed to be that way.  These new profiles will be used for a variety of SEO projects, not just for the fence company websites.
  2. In some cases we have very mature profiles with these services that are still being used and these new profiles are simply in place when we need them so we can keep growing.
  3. In some cases, these profiles are still being developed.  We are adding to this list all the time.  Remember this is an actual active campaign, so you are seeing behind the curtain (so to speak).  Sometimes things get a little sloppy when we are working on items.

Network of General Backlinks for This Project

Let’s take a deep dive into a small selection of our general backlinks.  For us, general backlinks means backlinks that come from any website (with a solid trust score and domain authority).  These sites are not related to the specific industry in any way.  We have a long list of sites we like to use to get things “kicked off”.  Here are just a few of them:

Backlinks Recap

The services/websites listed above are only a small percentage of the websites that are out there that can help you build a solid base of helpful backlinks.  Think of this as the QUANTITY portion of the exercise.    Coming up in the next article, is how to begin to build QUALITY backlinks.
