Best Examples of Burlington County NJ Website Design
In addition to the most obvious features, there are many little things that make a website design great and effective. Top marks go to beautiful websites that have useful information AND are doing the types of things that make them attractive to Google, while also providing a positive user experience. Through our search, we came across some good and bad local examples of Burlington County New Jersey websites. Here’s what we found:
1. Bernie Robbins, Marlton NJ – http://www.bernierobbins.com
Numerical Score: 93/100

BERNIE ROBBINS Burlington County NJ Website Design
Design Grade……… B
Features Grade……. B
Content Grade…….. B
Authority Grade…… B
The Bernie Robbins jewelry website is very highly developed on the backend. Thousands of products are listed with detailed information and smart databases help to keep information current. The front end of the site is clean and easy to navigate. Most impressive from a content standpoint is the jewelry blog, which helped rank this website highly for a long list of industry specific keywords. This blog was updated several times a week last year but unfortunately, there hasn’t been an updated post in several months, which is likely why the SEO for this website has declined. Still, the Bernie Robbins website is performing very well online in this competitive industry, when it comes to showing up on the SERP. On-page content is in depth and informative, educating visitors on store policies and services such as financing and jewelry repair. This website has all of the basic features and a very organized menu that helps shoppers to easily browse by the designer brand or type of item they’re shopping for. All in all, this website is the best one of all of the businesses we reviewed for Marlton NJ website design. It’s a great model for any jewelry website to follow!
2. Ivy Rehab, Marlton NJ – https://www.ivyrehab.com
Numerical Score: 87/100
Design Grade……… B
Features Grade……. C
Content Grade…….. B
Authority Grade…… C
This is a great website. Right off the bat, you know what this business is and the call to action is clearly defined. The sliding gallery of hero images doesn’t add much value, but there is a short video that’s great quality and adds interest. The amount of informative written content on this website really helped the score for best Marlton NJ Website Design. There is a page for every area of the body that could be troubling a prospective patient, and there is so much to be learned about the types of injuries and conditions and treatments available through physical therapy. There is a updated blog on this website that’s full of solid posts, but the format needs some work if they’re planning to rank for keywords this way. Over 8 programs are listed in the drop-down menu and there is a dedicated page for each one explaining what you can expect. The obligatory social media icons and presence of social proof are there, but it’s tough to find the testimonials without digging around. It’s a very clean design with modern features, such as a shrinking/expanding header and footer. It’s a really simple detail but it makes the site feel interactive and current. Also important to note, the website is mobile responsive.
3. Orpical Group, Marlton NJ – https://www.orpical.com
Numerical Score: 84/100
Design Grade……… B
Features Grade…….C
Content Grade…….. C
Authority Grade…… C
The bottom of the homepage is more attractive and vibrant than the top, which is a mistake because the portion “above the fold” that you can see without scrolling or clicking is the most valuable opportunity to make a first impression. Usually, what you place in this area will impact the bounce rate. There should be a great hero image at the top and a compelling line of text to pull a visitor in. On the other pages of this website, the use of imagery and text is much better. There is a clear call to action and a nice layout to describe the acronym behind the name of this business. The blog on this website has some great posts and incorporates awesome graphics, but it doesn’t seem to be keyword optimized or updated on a regular basis. On the services page, there’s a list of bullet points to name all of the things they do for clients, but there is not much depth here. Only one of those services is clickable and leads to more information. (logo design) The website does have a nice design though, which may or may not be thanks to a great template. From a content and features standpoint, it could use some work, and the direct result would be a higher authority grade if done correctly. Still, it’s one of the best Marlton NJ website design examples that we found.
High Potential Examples of Burlington County NJ Website Design
There are a lot of websites that kind of fall in the middle. They’re not good, but they could be worse. Most of these “high potential” website design examples are placed in this category because they scored low on our evaluation, but the businesses themselves are so great that we see a huge opportunity for success. Here are the local websites we found that don’t stand on their own yet, but could be absolutely killer if they made the right moves.
4. Hypno Designs, Moorestown NJ – www.hypnodesign.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade B
- Their use of typography, color and page layout was terrific.
- The content is a little thin on the website. They could give more information to educate their visitors.
- The dropdown navigation is bland and could be more creative with colors or icons or something relevant to the branding.
- In the website portfolio, they need a more detailed description of the project. What the primary design objectives were, etc.
5. Starlite, Moorestown NJ – https://starlite.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade B
- This is a tough one- The homepage landed this site the bottom of the list, but once we dug in deeper, we realized this is actually one of the best of the high potential sites group. The homepage is a creative attempt but it makes poor use of the most valuable past of a website- the homepage, above the fold. What you see before you scroll is the most valuable, in terms of real estate. This homepage and the other pages seem to get it backwards.
- On the other hand, the content itself and the organization of content is excellent. What a cool story behind this local company! Really, really awesome job by the owner, who registered the name “Starlite” at age 11. How cool!
- Great photos, really incredible work, and they are placed nicely throughout the website. It’s just a shame you can’t tell that content exists beneath the photo until you scroll. There are a few ways to better approach this without compromising the dramatic integrity of the design.
6. Speakeasy Creative – http://www.wespeakeasy.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade B
- This business concept and branding style is very innovative and cool! The colors and theme and mission- everything pulls together really well, except for the photos of action figures- that throws it off big time.
- The social media accounts managed by this company are not very impressive- so that is a red flag since they offer social media services for clients.
- Since content marketing and blogging is one of their services, it’s a good thing their blog is legit. We’ve seen so many horrifying sites and blogs by companies that claim to provide web design and marketing services. Thankfully, this site is not one of those.
- It’s a fun design. Headings move when you hover, the photos are black and white in contrast with the bold background. It’s visually interesting.
7. Estia, Marlton NJ – http://estiarestaurant.com/
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- Great photos and presentation on the homepage!
- Targeted keywords for their niche: authentic Greek Mediterranean
- The menus are not mobile responsive or digital- PDF is not ideal for this feature
- There is not nearly enough written content on the website to give it any authority
8. Image360, Marlton NJ – http://www.image360.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- Overall design is fresh and colorful
- Social Proof is well displayed
- The menu is limited to five categories but there’s a mess of sub-options beneath. Information could be better organized and more streamline in presentation
- It’s not clear what the “favorites” button is for, since there is no login area
9. Perfect Communications, Moorestown NJ – www.perfectcommunications.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- Great use of social proof, layering testimonials and logos on the homepage.
- The print work itself looks excellent but needs to be presented in a better way. Image quality and size are subpar.
- These pages are missing a call to action. What are the next steps? What compels a visitor to stick around or make a move?
- This is a very slow loading website. It’s probably their biggest problem from a user experience standpoint.
10. Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar, Moorestown NJ – www.harvestseasonalgrill.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- The design of this site is solid. Excellent photos and good layout.
- Would be better to have individual pages for each location with information and photos of the space.
- They aren’t making any real attempt to make a human connection- Even the OUR STORY page is lacking photos of people!
- Their Google numbers (like so many sites we review) are very low. Trust score, domain authority, backlinks, social signals, etc. are all super-low. If they are hoping to have long-term success online, they should think about improving in this area.
11. Surety Title Co., Marlton NJ – https://mysurety.com/
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- The best features for the user experience is the “how can we help you” icons at the bottom of the homepage.
- The branding and hero image is very professional. Aesthetically, this website is good but there are issues with messaging.
- The ordering process is very unusual- and places the burden on the visitor of choosing a representative to work with and filling out a hundred fields, before human contact has even been made. There’s got to be better process for this.
- The education and resources element is missing here.
12. TruMethods, Moorestown NJ – http://www.trumethods.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- The design and content of this website is so much better than the structure and user experience. It’s very overwhelming when you get to the homepage and it’s not clear what path they want to first-time visitor to take. A ton of separate calls to action. Things are just all over the place, like a website case of ADD.
- TruMethods actually looks REALLY really cool, and the Schnizzfest event seems legit! I know there’s a better way to communicate what the company is about, and what they offer, and show the ties to this event- without overwhelming the visitor and losing their attention. One thing about the event photos- where is the diversity? It says anyone is welcome (provided you want to be more awesome) but every photo shows basically the “same guy.”
- Thankfully, this website works famously on mobile devices!
- Great videos on this site! I like how they have customer testimonials in simple video format. That’s an awesome idea.
13. Upland Business Capital, Moorestown NJ – http://uplandbusinesscapital.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- This design is very clean and looks great, visually speaking. There are icons and headings and nicely placed imagery.
- Functionality-wise, the site isn’t so good. The clickable icons don’t lead anywhere. There is a blog button but no blog connected to it. Even though the homepage looks good, there is nothing beyond it. Nothing.
- Branding-wise, this falls flat. Where is the logo? It’s possible the cool look of this site is a generic template and not designed for this company at all.
- At least this website is mobile-friendly. Everything looks modern and new- perhaps the design was revamped and launched a little too soon? It’s just not ready, but there’s huge potential here. It would become an A-grade later if the web designer does a good job for Upland Business Capital.
14. DLC Technology Solutions, Marlton NJ – http://dlctechnology.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- From the first impression, the message and business is very vague.
- There’s not a great balance of visual elements and written content.
- Industry Solutions page has a brilliant breakdown of how this company can help 3 specific industries that they’re targeting
- Too many fonts and colors prevent this design from feeling cohesive and well branded
15. Jay Roberts Jewelers, Marlton NJ –http://www.jayrobertsjewelers.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- The first mistake is the menu- there are far too many items stretched across the screen. Instead, a second navigation bar and/or landing pages should be utilized.
- There is a great variety of designer brands carried here. Unfortunately, you can’t find products listed under each brand name.
- Content marketing would be a game changer for this jewelry company. If they targeted industry specific keywords using a blog and published jewelry education resources, their content and authority would skyrocket!
- It’s frustrating not to see prices for these products listed online. This is not the best approach because motivated shoppers will likely look elsewhere to get answers to their questions.
16. Virtua Hospital, Marathon NJ – https://www.virtua.org/
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade D
- One awesome feature on this website is the emergency room wait times page. The eVisits option looks like another great tool.
- The website design does not make good use of the space and is not modern feeling.
- The quality and display of the photos is very poor.
- This website is mobile friendly, which is pretty standard these days- but many other business sites in Marlton NJ were not!
17. Cross County Connections, Marlton NJ – http://www.driveless.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade D
- This website is a valuable tool and takes a unique and sensible approach to transportation
- The design itself leaves much to be desired. It’s outdated and not very user friendly.
- The ride share application, for example, would be more attractive if results were viewable from a database, rather than submitting an application and waiting for someone to get back to you with options.
- The news highlights section is a lengthy list of links. It would be better displayed with graphics and/or headers to organize the articles by topic.
18. Christopher L. Baxter Law, Moorestown NJ – http://www.new-jersey-dui-defense.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- This homepage is cluttered and overwhelming. Too many calls to action. Not clear from a user experience, especially for a first-time visitor.
- Branding wise, everything pulls together nicely in this website design. It’s not common to see red used as a business color, and done in a way that’s visually pleasing. Great job on the color palette and use of white space.
- The site loads on a mobile device, which is good, but it’s tough to use.
- Where are the outbound links? Especially tied to the news articles? Linking to high authority sites actually helps your website’s trust score to go up. Linking to onsite content helps to keep visitors on your site longer, getting the specific information that they came for. It’s a mistake not to incorporate hyperlinks into the text, especially when there are many paragraphs of useful information.
19. The Evergreens, Moorestown NJ – http://www.evergreens.org/
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade C
- Initial thoughts: Great design here. It looks very professional.
- One major thing that this site is missing is a blog. What better opportunity for a content marketing platform?
- The webpages are full of helpful information.
- What is this “create your own brochure” feature all about? That is a very unusual feature for a website like this.
Worst Examples of Burlington County NJ Website Design
Choosing the worst websites in a town like this is painful. As a web designer in the Burlington area, I’ve seen these types of mistakes over and over that are wreaking havoc on these businesses and killing their SERP ranking. Some of these websites are so terrible that I’m assuming they came free and ready-made with a domain purchase. The mistakes are numerous and easy to avoid if you’re a web designer who know’s what you’re doing.
20. Lascala’s Fire, Marlton NJ – https://www.lascalasfire.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- Excellent photos of the food on the homepage- these images are the best feature by far.
- The menus are not easy to read. They’re not digital, but instead they resorted to using scanned images.
- There is very little written content on this website. Even the About Page is filled up with photos and just a couple lines of text.
- It’s not a mobile friendly website. There goes half of the visitors they could have had, plus they’re getting penalized by Google.
21. Morgenstern Waxman Ellershaw, Marlton NJ – http://www.morgcpa.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- Ugly website design- even the logo looks low quality.
- There is nothing compelling on the homepage.
- Too many items in the menu, and yet the pages are jam-packed with text and not much organization or visual balance.
- Some elements are responsible but others are not, so it’s hard to navigate this site from a smaller screen like a mobile device.
22. Haefele Flanagan, Moorestown NJ – http://www.hfco.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- This site is 100% broken. The images don’t load. Menu items are invisible until you hover. What is going on??
- There is no footer. Unless it’s there but it’s white on white, like the nav bar.
- I can’t imagine if this company is still in business. If so, they need a new website – quick.
23. Marlton Tavern, Marlton NJ – http://themarltontavern.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- This template is not a good choice, because it looks like a template and an outdated one at that.
- At the very least, it is mobile friendly.
- The Buzz page falls flat- there are lots of reviews copy/pasted from Google, Yelp, and Facebook- but no names or links, so that doesn’t carry any weight at all.
- No digital menus- just scanned images of the full size restaurant menus which are not legible on a screen. Not good.
24. Quality Concepts, Moorestown NJ – http://www.qualityconcepts.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- The products sold on this site are really interesting and different, but the only reason we stuck around to find out is because we’re analyzing the website design. There is nothing about the homepage that draws a customer in or makes them curious to see the inventory. Nothing compelling.
- The design is old, so old. Not mobile friendly. Lacks the basic modern elements like social media integration and a blog. No videos, nothing 2017, despite what the footer date suggests.
- This website is nothing more than a boring online catalog. So many opportunities to use marketing and really “sell” it but this site totally falls flat.
25. Ragazzi Restaurant, Marlton NJ – http://ragazzimarlton.com
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- Major need for rebranding- the logo is horrifying and the colors/fonts don’t even match back to the logo- which is horrifying, incase that wasn’t said loud enough the first time around.
- This website design is ugly and outdated. Wastes space, is not visually pleasing, and is not responsive.
- A professional photographer would make a world of difference because the photos do not make the food look appetizing.
- Gift Cards page is under construction? Our guess is it’s never going to be updated. Just get rid of it.
26. Aunt Selma’s Candy, Moorestown NJ – http://auntselmascandy.com/index.html
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- It’s hard to get past the homepage- How can a candy store as cute as this one put out such a crappy website? There are great reviews for this place online but you’d never know it was worth it judging from this website alone.
- Where are the great photos of the candies and confectionary treats? There should be a great hero image at the top to pull you in, and a bunch of product photos to show off what Aunt Selma is selling.
- Everything from the bold, italicized font to the static header screams “old-fashioned” but not in the charming way. More in the outdated way.
27. By All Writes, Marlton NJ – http://byallwrites.biz/
Burlington County NJ Website Design Grade F
- This website is completely devoid of images. Even though it’s for a professional writer, there should still be photos and a good balance of text and visual content.
- Services include website design and brochure design, yet there isn’t a graphic or photo to be found! What a joke.
- There is an embedded Twitter feed featuring political ramblings. Very unprofessional and unrelated to this business.
- The blog is not keyword optimized and there is no H1, H2, H3. This does no favors for the SERP rankings and SEO.

Website Designers in Burlington County New Jersey | |
DotCom Global Media |
DotCom has roughly 20 full-time employees and is a full-service website design and internet marketing agency. They have been in business since 1995. DotCom works with dozens of clients in Somers Point and the surrounding area. Of particular note is their national and international client list working with companies like Nike, Disney, and the New York Yankees just to name a few. They have won numerous awards and have a stellar reputation. In October 2016, the founder was honored to be selected to speak at the #1 rated small business conference in the U.S. (Forbes and Inc. Magazine). This is clearly the top website design company in the entire region. |
Evolve Studios |
Evolve appears to be a small collection of independent contractors and service providers. It appears they’ve been in business for over 10 years and they serve mostly local clients. Their work is solid. |
JSE Design Studio |
JSE has been creating poor to mediocre websites for a painfully long time. Frankly, we are surprised they still make websites. They are mostly known for their Point-Of-Sale systems and other types of technical support -which we understand is much better than their website design. |
Townsquare Media |
Townsquare Media is well positioned thanks to their affiliation with the local radio industry. While the name is familiar with businesses in South Jersey, Townsquare Media is more infamous than famous. Their website designs are stock layouts and the SEO and digital marketing services they offer seem to lack a customized strategic approach. We have only heard bad things about this web design/marketing company. You could get the same quality for much less money with those starter packages that come cheap with a domain name purchase. |
