Best Websites in Atlantic City New Jersey
A website won’t earn the title of being “the best” unless it’s got great looking visual content and has useful information, a positive user experience, AND is making the right moves for search engine optimization. All of this should be top priority for a web designer in Atlantic City New Jersey. We are happy to say we found several excellent examples.
1. Bass Pro Shops
Atlantic City NJ
Bass Pro Shops has a user-friendly web design. Most questions are answered on the first page. With bold and colorful pictures and legible text, this website brings excitement and enthusiasm for the outdoors. It creates a sense of urgency to not miss sales or contests, which is good, but without being obnoxious, which is even better. At a glance I can see what’s on sale, what’s new and what’s coming up. Topic headings are clear and the links all work.
The Bad: The only change I would make is a bigger logo.
2. Atlantic City Florist
Atlantic City NJ
Atlantic City Florist has a great website that is clear and direct. The colorful flowers are photographed with a white background so there’s nothing distracting from the core product. It is easy to navigate through the categories of information. Color is used in the font with enough contrast for easy reading.
The Bad: White text on a purely black background is tough on the eyes. I’d soften it up a bit.
3. Fox Rothschild LLP, Attorneys at Law
Atlantic City NJ
Professional, subtle and tasteful sums up the the Fox Rothschild website. Opening the site is like walking into a quiet office suite. The website is uncluttered and easy to read. There are informative articles on the site dealing with various areas of the practice of law.
4. Angelo’s Fairmont Tavern
Atlantic City NJ
I really like the slow-fade gallery of those inviting interior shots of Angelo’s as the background. It’s relaxing just to look at it. They have a recognizable logo prominently displayed. There’s plenty of useful information here. The tavern is cosy and comfortable, the food appears to be delicious, and it’s easy to see they are open 7 days a week. With one keystroke I can read the reviews left by others and find out if my first impression is accurate. The red button above the fold draws attention to customer reviews, which speaks to their confidence in their reputation. It’s a great website.
The Bad: I might increase the size of the white font on the homepage, or change the color, for easier readability.
5. Wonder Bar
Atlantic City NJ
Decent website features awesome photos showing the ambiance offered by Wonder Bar. I can see myself lounging there at sunset looking out over the bay with a drink in hand. Aesthetically, the site isn’t great, but it functions well. I moved easily through the links to the menu, daily specials and live event schedule. The gallery of photos is extensive and does a superb job of drawing interest.
The Bad: Aesthetically, this site feels “homemade.” The cobalt blue fights with the grey textured background and the font style isn’t a great choice.
6. Levine Staller Attorneys at Law
Atlantic City NJ
The page opens up with a hero image of an aerial view of the Atlantic City beach. There are more photos transitioning to create comfortable familiarity because these attorneys are local. All the basic information is there in an easy to read format. Included in the website are examples of Levine Staller Attorney successes which tells me they are good at what they do. They did a good job with the written content, and the design doesn’t raise any flags.
Worst Websites in Atlantic City New Jersey
Choosing the worst websites in a town like this is painful. As a web designer in Atlantic City New Jersey, I’ve seen the same types of mistakes made over and over that have got to be wreaking havoc on these businesses and sabotaging their potential for growth and exposure. Some of these websites are so terrible that I’m assuming they came free and ready-made with a domain purchase. The mistakes are numerous and they should be called out.
The Atlantic City Arts Commission website is not a complete failure. Considering the number of topics the website has to cover, I think they have organized the information well. However, the homepage is boring and bland- so there goes all the traffic. Some of the information seems to be copy/paste from another place. If I was already interested in the art scene I could find what I need, but this website does little to inspire my interest.
This website tries to cover two locations that have different hours and different menus. The result is total confusion. The format for placing online reservations does not look promising, so you’d better call instead. The link to their rewards program is broken. The website is unprofessional and clearly neglected. That is not a good promotional message.
Nothing about this website encourages me to call this law firm. It consists of pages of adjective-riddled filler text that completely lacks substance. The word “aggressive” pops up too frequently and the content overall seems disingenuous. The disclaimer on the contact form is even unnerving! They’re scaring people off left and right, if people are even finding this user-unfriendly website.
Docks Oyster House website is poorly formatted, even though the visual effects are great, but it’s a photo overload. Carefully selected photos are enticing but we don’t need a whole photo album that includes family photos along with the food. The first thing hitting you in the face in the gigantic images and the story of the historic restaurant. This is not a museum! The story is interesting, but tuck it under a separate link of its own.
Maybe it’s just me, but I hate the color scheme. In addition, the Atlantic City New Jersey location page is cluttered with washed out text, stripes, and stars. Other pages are cluttered with photo montage of people, food, and old cars. There is just no one place to focus my attention. The user experience is not the greatest, even though the food looks good and the decor is attractive. The mobile version of the site is a lot better- they should simplify the desktop website, stylistically.

DotCom Global Media
DotCom has roughly 20 full-time employees and is a full-service website design and internet marketing agency. They have been in business since 1995. DotCom is based in southern New Jersey and works with dozens of clients in the surrounding areas, and plenty of other states, too. Of particular note is their national and international client list working with companies like Nike, Disney, and the New York Yankees just to name a few. They have won numerous awards and have a stellar reputation. In October 2016, the founder was honored to be selected to speak at the #1 rated small business conference in the U.S. (Forbes and Inc. Magazine). This is clearly the top website design company in the entire region.
Evolve appears to be a small collection of independent contractors and service providers. It appears they’ve been in business for over 10 years and they serve mostly local clients. Their work is solid.
JSE Design Studio
JSE has been creating poor to mediocre websites for a painfully long time. Frankly, we are surprised they still make websites. They are mostly known for their Point-Of-Sale systems and other types of technical support -which we understand is much better than their website design.
